River - 1 year old (Fostered in Columbia, SC)

8/5/19: Hey Y'all. River checking in! I've been at my foster home for a few days now and WOW its nice to have a place where I can be with people all day everyday as that is my jam. Foster mom is working on my kennel training because when I am in the kennel I Sing the Song of My People like I am Adele. I have met my foster sisters who are two brindle boxer mixes who I really want to play with but I am not quite ready for their energy levels. So we meet through gates but man they look like fun. I have also met the true ruler of my foster home the cat and WOW he smells amazing but when he runs I kinda do a bad thing and chase him some just so I can smell him harder. Foster mom is impressed because I can already use the dog door after only 3 days! Yeah I am SMART. I also love to be within touching distance of a human at all times where I allow them to enjoy my snores because according to my foster parents I snore like a grown man which I think is not correct because I am a petite lady! FM said I am doing great and I have only had one accident in the house on my first day here. FM assures me we will work on my kenneling like a big girl and my separation anxiety they say its not okay to be sooo clingy that I need to be able to be alone sometimes. I disagree very loudly with The Song of My People. River Out for now I will check in later with Y'all.

8/20/19: Hey Y'all. I have been at my foster home a few weeks and in that time I have been spayed which I did not enjoy but am already recovered and back at 100 all the time. Foster mom says that I am a sweet girl and wants my Forever home to know that I am a smart girl who needs to be with people as much as possible. Foster Mom said I am also stubborn about training especially the Evil Crate of Doom. I will eat in it and sometimes lay in it if the door is open otherwise NO NO NO I say. We are working on basic commends but its been slow going with my adjustment and then surgery. But I am 100% house trained and LOVE to use the furry people door to the yard to play with my foster sisters and lay out in the sun. I do enjoy giving kisses and snuggles. One of my favorite things to do is play keep away with my foster sister which involves running like the wind with a toy that she tries to get but I am just too fast for her. I also met some little skin people and I was quite the fan of them and one of them was only 2 and I was very careful but then got excited and had to be told to keep my feet on the ground which is no fun. Foster Mom wants me to find my forever home soon because she wants me to bond to my Forever Family as I am already concerned when Foster Mom or Dad leave the house and will cry a bit and look for whoever left.
