Dolly - 2.5 years old (Fostered in Raleigh, NC)

7/23/19: Are you a huge fan of that Little tongue sticking out while your baby sleeps? Does a pupper with an under bite melt your heart? Then you should put your name on my list asap.
Hello CBR! I'm Dolly and I'm a total sweetheart. I'm 2 1/2years old. I'm loving my foster home. I have two great foster moms and a fur sister that's still getting used to me. I'm really doing a good job about giving her all the space she needs.
I loved playing with the big dogs at the animal shelter! I'm a sweet loving girl and I love to play too. I love anything that squeaks or makes a silly noise but I especially love to play with my squeaky ball. Foster mom's say I can't have the fuzzy tennis balls anymore cause I just destroy them. I can't help that I'm a very strong girl. I need a family that will play with me and take me for lots of walks. I'm still young and have a lot of energy to get out! My mom's are working on my manners and they say I'm learning very fast. I'm already crate trained but I prefer to spend the night in bed with my human. I will sit and lay most of the time but sometimes I just get too excited to listen....I'm a work in progress.
I went to the Vet last week and except for needing to put on a couple of pounds I got an excellent report.
As much as I love it here, I'm really excited about finding my forever home.

8/2/19: An update on Dolly! She is a total love bug!
We have not had an opportunity to have her around small children. She has come in contact with a few kids on walks in the neighborhood and was happy to receive some pets. Weather permitting were going to check out a park this weekend.

She doesn't seem to be aggressive at all when eating or with toys. While eating I've pestered her some and doesn’t bother her. She loves her food. I do have a slow feeder mat in her bowl to slow her down some. She is not a grazer and will empty her bowl. She has gotten better with leaving Dixies food alone.

She is still young and has alot of energy. She does get excited and she is strong as is her tail. We are still working on manners and leash walking. She has really improved over the past few weeks and loves going on walks.

We do have a Chi that's 9lbs that grew up with boxers. Dolly really wants to play, Dixie hasn’t accepted that yet so Dolly keeps bringing her toys. They will actually lay down and take a nap beside each other so that's progress.
Add your name to her list and meet this sweetie.
Have a great day!

8/19/19: Dolly here...I can’t believe it's been a month since I came to my FM's home. FM says I am much more relaxed and settled in. That little dog Dixie that lives here is finally playing with me! It's so much fun playing chase with her around the house and sharing squeaky toys. We even rough house now, I just have to remember she is way smaller than me.
Yesterday was a big day for me, my FM took me to a CBR event at Belk's. When we first walked in there were these weird people that didn’t smell normal, I kept staring at them thinking why don’t you pet me?? FM told me they were mannequins what ever that is.
At the event I met so many people and got so much loving and compliments. There were little kids there also, I really liked those. I did really good for my first big outing. I tried to remember all my manners FM's have been teaching me but got a little excited at times. When I got back home I went to my bed and passed out for a while, that was alot of peopling in one day.
I can’t wait till the next event so I can share some more Dolly loving!
