8/27/19: I would like to introduce everyone to a very special boy that just joined the rescue. Meet Maxwell Wyatt. Maxwell’s name was donated via the name a nub program and I’m sure brings great love with it from someone special who loves the nubs. Wyatt which means Strong Warrior will be his middle name because we know this broken timid boy can become a strong warrior while surrounded with love. Say some special prayers for him to learn to trust, enjoy getting petted and loved (he currently jumps when you try to pet him) and to realize just what love is.

9/2/19: On this past Saturday Maxwell Wyatt has been with CBR for a week. He’s a very timid boy that has been through a lot and is fearful of touch and the most basic boxer traits are foreign to him. He’s going to require a ton of love and patience and that is exactly what he is getting. His crate is his safe place, but he now comes out on his own to explore when no one is around (we watch him on the cameras and he’s very curious). He is extremely scared to be taken outside on leash, so we’ve chosen to let him use large washable pee pads for now to keep his anxiety down, but he’s super smart and uses the pads! My mom Donna who is his foster mommy leaves the door open to the fenced yard when she goes outside with resident dog Layla, and he now runs out into the fenced yard and runs the fence line watching them, but always returns to the safety of his crate before they come back into the house. He let me lay in his crate with him and pet him, and he relaxed and after a bit seemed to enjoy the affection. He takes treats from our hands most of the time. He has great appetite, but only eats his food when no one is watching. He is stealing our hearts and we are positive he will come out of his shell when he truly feels loved and safe. Send some good vibes and prayers for Maxwell Wyatt to conquer his fears and become the amazing boy he is meant to be!

9/11/19: Maxwell Wyatt has been in his foster home for just a little over 2 weeks. He unfortunately has had an unimaginable rough start to his life, and is having to learn everything brand new and overcome his fears of people, touch, and simply to trust. He is slowly coming out of his shell and we cannot wait to share his small milestones of success. Stay tuned for more to come on Maxwell Wyatt.
