Gage - 1-2 years old (Fostered in Murrells Inlet, SC)

10/17/18: Welcome foster Gage! He's a VERY strong little guy with a giant head.... He's met my two kiddos without incident but they are still going to be separated for a while until everyone knows each other better. He has already found his "safe spot" in the kitchen. He's a pretty quiet guy so far. Super sweet and loves people. He knows sit and will give you his paw when he sits down. He also knows lay down. Pretty sure he had his own "people" at some point in his life! So glad he will have a family with CBR!

10/19/18: Foster Gage here! I am a handsome (if I do say so myself!) Boxer/Bulldog mix with a tail that's always going! You see, I'm super happy to be out of doggie jail and to have my foster people that tell me what a good boy I am! I have those pesky heartworms, but I know CBR will get rid of those for me. Other than that, I seem to be a really healthy boy. I'm not real big on toys, but I found a bone that I absolutely LOVE and I carry it everywhere. It belonged to my foster sis, but it's definitely mine now! I know how to sit and will give you paw when I sit for treats. I will also lay down if you tell me to. Foster mom says I listen well and I am very smart. I definitely need to work on my leash manners because I am a very strong boy and I like to lead the way. I walk way better since my foster parents put that snazzy green harness on me though! I don't mind my crate at all and sleep like a baby at night in it (as long as my prized bone is in there!). I really wouldn't mind being an only child and I probably wouldn't even need my crate if I was. Don't you need a big headed, handsome, sweet happy boy like me to hang out on your couch forever? (And yes thats me riding in the car seat.)

11/5/18: Foster Gage here checking in for an update! I had some yucky shelter crud, but FM took me to the doctor and got me some ear drops and antibiotics and I feel like a new man! My silly boxer personality is starting to show now that I feel better. I'll tell you something....I LOVE THE HUMAN BED!!!!!!!!! The couch is nice too. I have started to play with toys a little bit, but I am also happy just loafing around. I guess that's why FM has started calling me "meatloaf". I don't care as long as I get to hang out on the FURniture. FM likes to see my tail wag so she will say "Gagey Baby" really sweet-like and I wag my tail and come running to her. She rubs my ears all the time and says they feel like velvet. FM and FD say I am full of personality. Not really sure what that means but they smile when they say it so it must be a good thing. They also say I am going to make a great companion for somebody, but I already knew that. I am learning how to play nice with my foster brother and sister and I'm doing an excellent job. That's another thing FM says about me... I'm a really smart dude. I listen pretty well to FM and FD so I am easily corrected if I am doing something I shouldn't. I'd love to find my forever family so I can learn the rules there and live happily ever after as a meatloaf couch potato!

*Gage needs slow intro to other dogs. He would be best as an only dog or in a home with a dog that lets him have his own space. I feel like he would be fine with kids of all ages, but would need older, stronger children to be the only "dog walkers". He is a very sweet and happy, pretty mellow boy!
