January 18, 2012... Layla has been with us for almost 4 weeks now. She is house trained and hasn't had a single accident since she's been here. She now goes into her crate without any problem as long as she gets a treat. Her favorite is a Kong with peanut butter. She does well on a leash but still pulls some. She is timid at first with strangers but warms up quickly. She shows no aggression with food or the other dogs she has been around. Loves to play with toys and loves to run. She will need a fence or someone who likes to get alot of exercise. She still has alot of puppy in her so she likes her chew toys. So far she is the easiest foster I've ever had.
January 13, 2012... I finally got the little girl that has been chained in a neighbors yard since last summer. I went and picked her up this morning and took her to the vet to have her checked out. She has now been dewormed, given her shots and rabies vaccine and is on hw prevention. She is 9 months old, seems to get along with other dogs and didn't pay any attention to the cats at the vet. She has been around small children and older ones. Oh yes, she has had a bath and she did very good in the tub. Her name is Layla and right now she is sleeping in her crate in a warm dry place with something soft to sleep on.
