Marcus Williford joined CBR in December 2010.  He was hooked after his first sweet boxer, and when he adopted his second from a local shelter, he decided he wanted to do more.  A friend pointed him to CBR- and the rest is history!

From sticking it out during difficult transports, to the reward and heartbreak that comes with fostering our beautiful senior and hospice nubs- Marcus says one of the best things over the years has been the support and the people.  It isn’t often you find a group of people that make so many challenges, so easy to overcome. Throughout his time with CBR, Marcus said he is always able to get someone on the phone, or find a sitter for his fosters when he goes on vacation.

He also loves helping organize CBR’s events, and recommends everyone attend at least one beach bash (luckily there is one in October!) and has been coordinating sponsorships for two years.  He organizes the summer and winter t-shirt fundraising campaigns, and is the co-founder/board member of Pawz in the Park, a large annual event in Wilmington that gives back to participating rescue groups (also coming up in October).

On top of that, Marcus helps with all CBR merchandise and says he is “always trying to sell one more shirt.”  His efforts are much appreciated by CBR- and nubs everywhere!
