SAM

November 06, 2011...  Sam is VERY sweet and loving. He gets along with all dogs, large and small. Seems to have a "motherly" instinct when it comes to puppies too. He loves puppies and will look out for them. He uses the doggy door when he needs to potty. He is utd on shots and neutered!  We think Sam is a great dane/boxer mix.  He is a wonderful dog and is he is still looking for his forever home!

May 23, 2011...  Sam is brand new to CBR.  This is the e-mail we received from a shelter volunteer looking for help for Sam (he was called Zeke at the shelter):

"I volunteer for an NC animal shelter and it is a very high-kill shelter. A few weeks ago, they received the boxer that I've been calling Zeke. He seems to be purebred. He looks to be approximately 3 or 4-years-old. He came in as a stray and was never claimed by anyone, although it is clear that he has been owned by someone because he is very friendly. Zeke gives new meaning to the phrase 'Gentle Giant'. I've included a couple pictures of him. Other rescues have offered to put Zeke's picture and information on their website, but I'm afraid that he may not have that much time. Today, the shelter director discreetly implied that Zeke needed to find a way out now. I'm sure that your rescue has more than enough on its hands, but if you could find room for Zeke, he and I would both be doing flips! We have had several transport offers and can get him to wherever there is an opening. Please hurry with your response. Because of the shelter's high daily intake, they tend to euthanize without warning."

Thanks to this caring shelter volunteer, Sam has a second chance of finding a forever home!!  More to come on Sam as we get to know him!
