March 10, 2010... Kaylee is doing really well after being spayed and getting that repaired. The vets office loved her. They were amazed at her when she came out from the anesthesia that her tail was wagging and she was wanting to play. She has really come out of her shell. She actually goes up to people now and want to be petted instead of hiding behind me. Everyone at the vets loved her but how can you not with that face. Once she get to know you, she will never leave your side. She's starting to do the boxer wiggle which is very impressive I might add because I think her tail just adds more sway to it. She loves to play and she doesn't realize she's a big and strong girl. She's also a leaner, she will lean on you. She's a strong girl and will do best in a house without small dogs, cats or small children.
January 31, 2010... Kaylee is housetrained. Crate training is coming along. She will go in because she knows there is a kong filled with kibbles and peanut butter. She needs to be in a crate when you are not with her. She does love to get into everything. She would do best in a house without small dogs or cats. She does know the command to "leave it" because she does love to play. She doesn't realize that she is much bigger then the smaller ones. She's learning "wait" because she loves to go outside and will try going out the doggy door with one of her other fur sisters/brothers. She's is really coming out of her shell. She is has realized how great it is to snuggle on the bed and will now climb into bed and sleep with you. Oh, yea, I almost forgot, she thinks she's a lap dog, so if you love to snuggle and have a head (or her if she could) on your lap, she's the one. She would love to snuggle up to you if you will give her time to warm up to you because it does take a little time for her to come out of her shell.
January 10, 2010... Kaylee has been with us for two weeks and she is starting to come out of her shell. She's still nervous around new people and especially teenagers but around small children she is terrific. She will let them pet her and she gives them kisses. She lets me know when she wants to go outside to go potty. She loves playing with the other dogs. She loves to be held and loves to snuggle with you. When she is unsure of herself she does tend to get as close to a person she knows and doesn't leave their side. But once she is a little more sure of herself and others she will come up to you. She listens very well to commands. She sleeps on the doggy bed in the bedroom at night and with the rest of the dogs on the couch during the day. She is always ready to give you a kiss. She would love to be with a family who is home all the time but will do well if you can't be. We are still working on making her a more confident girl. Kaylee will make someone a very faithful and loving family member. She has the cutiest face that you can't help but love.
December 21, 2009... Kaylee is about 2 years old. She is another lap dog. She gets along great with all of the other dogs. She will go in the crate with a little help (kong filled with kibbles and peanut butter) and hasn't had an accident in it yet. Loves to go outside and play but hasn't figured out the doggy door. She would love to find a forever home and have another big dog to play with. More to come as we get to know her.
