September 20, 2010... Jade is coming back to rescue. She was previously adopted by her foster home (and is still there). Jade underwent some training to work on her dog aggression issues. Her family had hoped that they could overcome these issues but not much has changed. Jade is wonderful with ALL people, including young children. The biggest concern and the reason why Jade is being returned is that Jade is strong and does pull quite a bit on walks if she sees another animal. Her current mom is in her sixties and is worried that she may not be strong enough to hold her if she should come across another dog on her walks. Aside from this one issue Jade is fantastic. She is housetrained and behaves well in the house when alone. She listens to commands and is very sweet. She walks GREAT on a leash unless she sees another animal. Her current mom is heartbroken about having to let her be adopted by someone else but feels it would be the best thing for Jade as she does like her walks!
March 27, 2010: a quick note from the boarding facility: "We have all been giving her lots of hugs and kisses. Tony has taken her walking some and we have been letting her run around the clinic when we are not busy. She is in our master suite of the kennels so she has a lot of room in her kennel. She is doing great and is still eating like a piggy."
March 4, 2010... Jade is such a sweet dog. She is so wonderful with people and wants all of the attention for herself. We have found that Jade does not get along well with other dogs. She's a perfect sweetheart when she is the only dog!!
February 25, 2010... Jade is a very sweet, beautiful girl who is estimated to be 3 years old. She is currently being treated for a pretty severe upper respiratory infection which has really taken a toll on her. Hopefully the antibiotics will get her feeling better very soon! More to come on Jade as we get to know her!!
