Honey
May 6, 2009...  Last night Honey went to her first little league baseball game! She was definitely a huge hit! Honey interacted so well with all kinds of people and absolutely loved the attention..  She even sat in the stands with me for a good while just watching the kids play.  To tell you the truth, I was not the least bit surprised at how well she behaved!  Honey is just the best dog!  After the game we went to visit Oscar, a former rescued boxer.  We introduced them slowly and after some sniffing and licking, it was as if they were old friends! I am so pleased to see that she can adapt so well to different situations and has gotten much better about meeting new dogs her size or larger (we are not exploring the little dogs). I am just so happy with her and can not get over how calm, easy going, and adaptable she is!  What a good girl Honey!!!

April 12, 2009...  Honey came into our foster home a few weeks ago and she has adjusted wonderfully.  She was a little unsure about her new crazy foster brothers at first but she quickly warmed up and really seems to enjoy being around them. Honey listens so well and is so patient with us and her foster brothers.  She is so easy going and relaxed and has really been an easy dog to foster.  Honey is FULLY housebroken, which is wonderful...she can be left indoors or outdoors and behaves so well in either environment. She loves to give kisses and snuggle and just be near you. I know whom ever adopts Honey will be so fortunate as she is really a great dog!!!

March 24, 2009...  Honey is afraid of thunderstorms and will curl up on the floor next to my side of the bed.  She is very good on a leash and will walk right next to you if told.  She loves to go for walks! She loves to romp and play in wide open areas, but you have to be careful letting her off the leash when other dogs might come around that she does not know...she doesn't always understand how to meet new dogs.  Once dominance is established...all is fine and she loves, licks, and plays well with other dogs.  She loves all people and kids.  She is very affectionate and loves to give kisses.  She does jump sometimes when she gets excited, but will stop when told.  She is very receptive to discipline.  She will sit and wait to come inside and wait to eat a treat if told.  She does tend to get sick if fed people food.  She loves to get on the couch, but will always ask permission before coming on.  She is very well mannered

December 17, 2008...  Honey gets along with lots of dogs (male and female) her size or a little smaller after she warms up.  She never likes tiny dogs though.  She is usually weary at first (trying to see who is going to be dominant).  We sometimes turn her over on her back and let the other dog sniff her so that she will "surrender" and let the other dog be boss.  I think once dominance is established all is fine and she is playful and patient with other dogs.  It sometimes takes a few meetings before she is comfortable and relaxed though.  There are about 5 dogs that she runs and plays freely with when we go to the country and she is never aggressive toward any of them.  I think she would really like another dog in the home to play with.  She gets so excited when she sees all the dogs in the country.

October 28, 2008...  Meet Honey!  Honey is 7 years old and 65 pounds.  She loves all people and children.  She is very well potty trained.  She enjoys being indoors or outdoors.  She is leash trained and listens very well to all commands.  Her only fault is that she does not like smaller dogs or cats.  She also takes a while to warm up to dogs that she does not know.  However, once she gets to know them, she loves to play and give kisses.
