August 6, 2010... Cashiers is a very lovable, obedient boxer and very well mannered, to the entire family. She walks perfectly on a leash and enjoys every minute of it. She sits and stays on command and does not beg while we are eating. She is getting much better with tolerating the crate - the panting and drooling have lessened. Cashiers spends most of her time following us around the house and yard and is very curious about everything that we do. She ADORES water and riding in the car. She loves to be near us and touch us – lean against our leg, etc. She is very sweet and playful and particularly enjoys playing catch with the ball (especially in the Congaree River) and Frisbee. She only barks when a stranger enters the yard or house. She prefers being the only child. Cashiers health is very good. She is enjoying her food and gaining weight and the wounds on her head have healed.
June 26, 2010... Cashes is an adorable little girl, she isn't very big; i would guess around 50 pounds, tops. She is 'tail on' and very sweet; not much of a lover, but always wants to be near you. She does NOT like being crated, she chewed up her water bowl and actually bent the 'bars' on the top of the heavy crate but she does eventually settle down and relax.
She figured out the doggie door very quickly and seems to really enjoy being outside. She would go under the deck and lay in the cooler soil under there. Cashes gets along GREAT with Dunkin, my male boxer and she is okay with cats. Indoors she just watches Stalker (my cat) walk by, outdoors she will chase him, but Stalker teases Dunkin to get him to chase him then he jumps over the fence, I think the chasing is mostly Stalker teasing her ;-) She has the softest fur of any boxer i have ever met.
We have been calling her Cashie or Cassy. I know she is ten and we shouldn't CHANGE her name so we just tried to find something that sounds similar. She will come when you call her.
