BRUTUS

May 23, 2011...  Brutus is doing great in his new foster home.  He quickly learned all of our routines and gets along great with Kalea (female boxer)!  She is just like a little sister trying to bug him and play with him all of the time, but he doesn't mind.  He's eating well and seems to be filling out.  He LOVES taking walks and mostly just lounging around.  His favorite thing is getting his back scratched...he won't stop wagging that big tail of his!  Brutus also talks a lot to tell you that he needs some love..it is super cute!  He has been great around kids.  But he does not like other male dogs.  We are just loving having him!!

February 25, 2011...  Brutus is very sweet, affectionate and loves everyone!  As we walked he would go up to people, wagging his tail and expecting a pat or 2 on the head. He is skinny, but large and strong and stubborn.  He walked well on a leash.  I’ll be working on his manners.  He doesn’t come to ‘Brutus’ now, but hopefully will soon.  He agrees to go in the crate, but chewed out twice in about 10 minutes.  I am working on getting a heavy-duty one. I think he would do great with kids as long as they are not too young.  He sometimes jumps on you and would definitely knock a young one to the ground.  We’ll be working on breaking that habit. He grunts and at first it sounds like a growl, but it isn’t, maybe just nose congestion. Shows no aggressiveness at all. Our kitty is petrified because he is chasing her around the house, but I think we can break that habit soon.

February 11, 2011...  My name is Brutis.  I am a little on the skinny side but I am in really good health.  I am HW negative, house broken, and love able!  I like to play and I will even talk with you.  I was left out in the streets in NC when animal control found me.  My foster mom feels it would be in my best interest to go to a home where there are no little children.  Do not worry...I am not mean or anything...I just love them way too much and I become real protective over them.  After all doesn"t every little person need a body guard?  I do not really care for other male dogs.  I have really good house manners...I do not even chew!!  My foster vet thinks I am about 6 to 7 years of age.
