LINUS
January 15, 2012...  Linus has been neutered. He is very clingy....follows us EVERYWHERE.  He loves to cuddle.  Linus finally started playing with some toys.  He is VERY afraid of almost everything.  When you try to leash him, put him outside, move fast or make a loud noise, he is GONE!  He plays with Gigi (Shih Zu) but is AFRAID of the two cats.  Petra hissed at him one time and he avoids her by all means.  She emerged from behind our TV a few days ago and Linus made such a loud clatter on the hard woods to "escape."  He is house trained.  Linus has had only ONE (first day) marking incident since he has been here before Christmas!

December 20, 2011...  Information on him so far… LOVES people, but is very skittish.. obviously a stray…
A good eater, we see no aggression with people or dogs when eating.  Not crate trained… having some anxiety with the crate and doesn’t like being in there currently.  Otherwise, very calm..
Toys… is learning what toys are about.. likes to fetch his Chik- fil A cow
Not a yard lover, would rather be in the house with the people!
I can’t say that he is or is not house trained.. He has not gone in the house so far, but he has access to the outdoors whenever we are home. He is crated when we aren't home.
Not a good walker yet, obviously has never been on a leash before, but after just a couple good long walks is improving!

Overall a very sweet but insecure boy.. needs some TLC and basic training…

December 4, 2011...  Bones is about 3 years old and is an unneutered male with a docked tail and natural ears.  He weighed only 45 lbs when I got him from the shelter last week, but with the help of good food and de-worming, I think he’s gained at least 5 lbs.  He is skittish at first but warms up quickly and is settling in nicely.  He is super sweet and is becoming more affectionate (kisses, etc.).  He was clearly neglected and most likely abused a little, too (he’s scared if you raise your voice, pick up a broom, etc.), but he really doesn’t have any major issues, and like I said, he’s adjusting nicely.  He follows me around and has bonded with my 2 year old female boxer.  He just discovered dog toys this morning, which makes me happy but sad that he’s never known that before.  He’s very bright though, and he was super well-behaved at the vet.
