April 14, 2010... Benson is being returned to CBR because he and the other male dog in his home are not getting along. Benson does get along with the female dog in the house. He also gets along well with all of the other dogs at daycare. His family has tried to make this work - they've even had private training. Here it what his family has to say about him:
Benson is coming back to CBR to be re-homed. Benson and the other male boxer in the house don’t get along and have to be kept completely separate. Benson gets along great with the female boxer in the house. Benson also gets along well with all the dogs at daycare.
Benson is a high energy young boxer who needs to find the right home. He’s such a sweet boy and is very loving to his family. He’s a snuggler who loves nothing better than curling up with you on the couch at night. He loves to follow you around the house to see what’s going on. He loves to be talked to and included in daily routines. He is a smart boxer who learns commands quickly, and is good at sit, wait, and come. Benson is fully housetrained and crate trained.
When Benson is at home in his familiar environment he’s happy and settled. He gets nervous in new situations. He gets really excited by certain things including other animals. Benson is on medication for anxiety and it does help him be comfortable in new situations.
Benson loves to go for walks but is still learning how to walk without pulling, and he’s very strong for his size. He also loves riding in the car. Benson loves the beach and running in the waves.
He should go to a home with a submissive female dog, no cats, and no small children. He is approximately 1.5 years old, 55 pounds, is neutered and microchipped, up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative, and has a transferrable lifetime training contract with Barkbusters, Inc.
