March 1, 2010.... Meet Angel! This very sweet girl has had a hard life. Angel lived most of her life tied to a tree by a short chain. Her owners often forgot about her... going days without food or water. Fortunately, caring neighbors noticed what was going on and stepped in to help. They took Angel to their house and nursed her back to health. She has gained weight and has been treated for heartworms. Soon she will be spayed. Angel gets along great with the other dogs at her foster home. She does need to be fed separately from the other dogs as she is a bit protective of her food... but we will be working on this. Her foster mom can put her hands in Angels food with no problems... she just gets upset when other dogs (or cats) try to take her food. Other than feeding time she does great with the other animals. Her foster mom (and rescuer - thank you Amber!) has the following to say about Angel:
Angel is about 9 years old. She is the most happy-go-lucky dog. She loves people more then any other dog i have ever met. Angel loves attention and food. She had a rough life until I rescued her, and gave her a great family to be a part of. She is currently updated on all her vaccinations, and has just had her last treatment for heartworms. She just needs a good family that will spoil her and treat her like one of their own. She is house trained, and gets along with other animals.
